Meet Our Founder – Tessa

I struggled with body image issues for as long as I can remember, being self conscious, on a permanent diet, desperately wanting to be someone else…

…the issues snowballed and suddenly I was making myself sick to try and make myself smaller – thinking: What a clever trick. It wasn’t so clever. I was unable to stop for 11 years, which was detrimental to my health.

For the first 9 of those years, I was in denial.

I kept my deep dark secret, unable to tell anyone I knew.

Then I decided to do something.

I trawled the internet to find someone who had been there to see if they could help me.  Someone who wouldn’t judge me, who got it, understood me and who I could relate to. It took years to find that person who I needed – to end my cycle of self-destruction. When I did eventually find my Mentor, it completely changed my life, I’d even say it saved it.

I don’t want it to be like that for you.

It doesn’t need to be. There are people out there who know what you’re going through and want to support you. Someone who gets you, cares and is here for you.
